
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday (May 15) expanded the offer of dialogue to India and expressed the willingness of his government to engage “for peace”.
“We are ready to talk to it (India) for peace,” Shehbaz said during a visit to the Pakistani Air Force base in Kamře, Panjab, PTI said.
Peace interviews bound to Kashmir
Shehbaz Sharif, however, linked the offer of peace with Kashmir and strengthened the attitude of Pakistan that Kashmir must be central to future negotiations.
India is holding a firm position on Kashmir, POK

India also kept claiming that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were an integral part of the country and not for negotiations.
Ceasefire understanding
Visits come days after an understanding of the ceasefire between India and Pakistan reached 10 May after four days of cross -border exchanges with high intensity.

The tension escalated sharply after India started the Sindoor operation at night 6.-7. May in retaliation for a terrorist attack on Pahalgam supported in Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir, who killed 26 people.
