The 1983 World Cup winner went further and claimed that the well -known rivalry in India – Pakistan lost its importance. “These matches will no longer attract crowds. Pakistan scratched into Super Four after a tense victory against the United Arab Emirates and defended 146 in their last group match. SRIKKANTH also focused on head coach Mika Hesson and claimed that Pakistan was on the wrong way under his leadership. “Hesson will be constantly repeating how good they are, and they were unlucky against India, but they are in charge of not going anywhere,” Sikkanth said. Hesson, who previously trained New Zealand and IPL Side Royal Challengers Bengalur, was named in May 2025 as head coach Pakistan.
