
The Pakistanian cricket council (PCB) claimed that it earned 3 billion RS from the hosting of Trophy ICC Champions Trophy and exceeded its planned goal of 2 billion Rs. In a written answer submitted to the National Assembly in the middle of growing concerns about the performance of the national team, the Council defended its financial and operating decisions.

“The masters trophy were completely managed and there was no excess or incorrect proceedings,” PCB said. It also explained: “The last numbers will be confirmed as soon as ICC completes their financial audit.”

The Board of Directors also confirmed that 18 billion RS is invested in upgrading the stadium in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi, with completion of 2026. “So far, there has been no budget exceeding,” PCB assured, adding that ordinary audits – twice a year – maintain finances under control.

Regarding the persistent insufficient performance of the national team, the PCB quoted several factors, including injuries and a variety of gaming conditions. “Key players have suffered injuries at the crucial moments, affect the balance of the team and strategy,” the statement read. He added that new injuries and rehabilitation measures are carried out.
