
Hussain Talat (photo taken from X) NEW DELHI: Pakistan all-rounder Hussain Talat was rushed to hospital after sustaining a shoulder injury during the second ODI between Pakistan national cricket team and Bangladesh national cricket team at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Friday.The incident occurred in the sixth over of Bangladesh’s chase when Talat sprinted to the deep cover boundary to stop Litton Das’ shot from a Mohammad Wasim Jr delivery. As Talat tried to pull the ball out of bounds, he stepped on the foam pad and crashed into the advertising boards.

He landed heavily on his left shoulder and appeared to be in considerable pain. Team staff and players rushed to his aid before a stretcher was brought onto the field and he was taken to a nearby ambulance.Later, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed that Talat had suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to hospital for further tests. “Talata was given immediate medical attention by the team’s on-field medical staff. After initial assessment, he was taken to hospital for detailed examination. The nature and extent of the injury will be determined after doctors complete further medical assessment,” the PCB said in a press release.Earlier in the match, Pakistan were bowled out for 274 all out in 47.3 overs after being put into bat first. Maaz Sadaqat scored a brisk 75 while Salman Agha added 64 and Mohammad Rizwan 44.Bangladesh struggled early in the chase and led 27/3 in 6.3 overs with Shaheen Afridi taking two wickets and Mohammad Wasim Jr one before rain interrupted play. Bangladesh still needed 248 runs when the match was stopped.
