For the visitors, four familiar faces will be absent from the series, including captain Pat Cummins, alongside Josh Hazlewood, Tim David or Nathan Ellis. Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell has been given another day off ahead of the T20 World Cup.
According to reports on ESPNCricinfo, captain Mitchell Marsh is not expected to feature in the series opener along with Josh Inglis as well.

Notable omissions include Haris Rauf, who was a mainstay in the team and the BBL’s highest wicket-taker for the season, but was not part of the upcoming T20 series or World Cup.
