The Ministry of the Interior (MHA) banned the TRF and all its manifestations and leading organizations in January 2023.

MHA said the proxy years were “involved in psychological operations on social media platforms to encourage people from Jamm and Kashmir to join terrorist clothing against the Indian state”.
“In 2019, the queue of resistance was established as a representative of Lashkar-E-TABA, the prohibited terrorist organization listed on the serial issue of 5 of the first schedule within the UAPA,” said the announcement issued by MHA.
The TRF, accepts youth through the online medium to support terrorist activities and has been involved in the implementation of propaganda on terrorist activities, recruitment of terrorists, infiltration of terrorists and smuggling of weapons and narcotics from Pakistan to Jammu and Kashmir, the announcement said.
Brutal TRF attacks so far
The TRF played a role in most attacks on civilians, including cashmere pandits and migrating workers and security forces in Kashmir in the last many years.
