India will organize an Indus Waters agreement from 1960 with Pakistan “with an immediate effect”, said Foreign Minister Vikram Misri on Wednesday (April 23, 2025). It is part of the reaction to five thunder, which was decided after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the Cabinet Safety Cabinet Committee (CCS) as a result of a terrorist strike in Pahalgam, which remained 26 dead.
After the meeting, the Minister of the Interior of the Union Amit Shah on Thursday (April 24, 2025) turned to all political parties to a meeting of all parties.
CCS took note of the “cross -border links” of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, said Mr. Misri, adding: “The 1960 Indus Waters Treaty will take place immediately until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably interfere with its support for cross -border terrorism.” Official sources suggest that CCS decisions will allow India without text obligations under the contract.

A decision to close the integrated check allowance in Attari with an “immediate effect” was also taken. “Those who have crossed with valid confirmations can return in this way to May 1,” Misri said, saying that Pakistani nationals who have Indian visas will have to return to this date.
He also announced that Pakistani nationals would not be able to travel to India as part of the Saarc liberation system. “Any visa issued in the past by Pakistani nationals are considered abolished. Each Pakistani nation officer currently has 48 hours to leave India,” he said.
CCS also announced the defense, navy and air advisor in the Pakistani High Commission here as Persona Non Grata (PNG). “They have a week to leave India. India will withdraw their own defense, the Navy, the Air advisor from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. These contributions in the relevant high commissions are considered to be abolished. Five supporters of the service advisors will also be withdrawn from both high commissions.” Delhi.
Mr. Misri said the CCS “reviewed the overall security situation” after a terrorist strike in Pahalgam and “ordered all the forces to maintain high vigil”. “It was decided that the perpetrators of the attack would be brought to court and their sponsors were considered to be answered. As with the recent edition of the Tahawwur Rany, India will be tireless in the persecution of those who have committed terror or conspiracy to allow them,” Misri said.
At the beginning of the day, the Minister of the Interior, who plunged into Srinagar on Tuesday, met the families of the victims at the police headquarters. Mr. Shah published on X, “with a heavy heart, paying the last respect for the deceased terrorist attack of Pahalgam.
Later he visited Baisaran, the scene of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and took a detailed briefing of the incident from officers, the ministry said. This was followed by a visit to the hospital in Anantnag, where the victims were taken.
Government sources shared with Hindus that the Minister of the Interior of the Union AMIT Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh addressed leaders of different political parties to meet all parties. Outreach came soon after the Cabinet Committee for Security met in the Residence of the Prime Minister at 7 Loka Kalyan Marg, when the government tried to get all parties aboard, with political parties across the Council expressing convictions and emphasize the unified front with the government.
The leader of the opposition at Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi spoke to Mr. Shah and expressed concern, while the parties, such as the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), asked the government to call for all parties.
The reaction of five tips
The Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 will be held in effect with the immediate effect until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably contains its support for cross -border terrorism.
The Attari integrated control post will be closed with immediate effect. Those who have crossed with valid confirmations can return in this way to 1 May 2025.
Pakistani nationals will not be allowed to travel to India as part of the Saarc Visa Visa Empretion Scheme visa. Any visa issued in the past by Pakistani nationals is considered to be abolished. Each Pakistani national, who is currently in India as part of Visa Sve, has 48 hours to leave India.
The defensive/military, naval and air advisors in the Pakistani High Commission in Nový Delhi are declared a personality Non Grata. Have a week to leave India. India will download its own defense/navy/air advisor from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. These posts in the relevant high commissions are considered canceled. Five support staff will also be downloaded from both high commissions.
The total force of high commissions will be reduced to 30 of the current 55 through a further reduction that will be made within 1 May 2025.
