PAHALGAM: At least 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed and many others were injured in a terrorist attack at Pahalgam Hill in South Kashmir on Tuesday, April 22. The attack was carried out a day when the United States Vice President was Vance in India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a state visit to Saudi Arabia.
It is assumed that the queue of resistance (TRF), an offshoot of Pakistan based in Pakistan, is one of the deadliest in Kashmir’s recent past.

The last big terrorist strike in Jamm and Kashmir was 9 June 2024, the day of the oath ceremony of the premiere of Narendra Modi for the third term, which took place during the Rashtrapati Bhavan period. Unidentified terrorists fired on bus ferry pilgrims, resulting in death at least 10 people and injuries 33 others in the reasi district in the Jammu region in the attack.
During the next attack, the terrorists struck the killing of a local doctor and six migrating workers in October 2024.
Chittisinghpura massacre from 2000
The attack is a sharp reminder of the Chittisinghpura massacre, in which 205 Sikhs were killed by terrorists in the village of Chittisinghpura in the Anantnag 20. March 2000. The attack occurred on the eve of US President Bill Clinton in India.
In addition to attacks on civilians, security staff was also focused on violence.
Pulwama attack from 2019

March 20, 2000: Militants focused on the Sikh minority community in the village of Chattisinghpora in the Anantnag district on the night of March 21 and killed 36 people.

August 2000: Thirty -two people, including two dozen pilgrims of AMARNATH, were killed in a terrorist attack in the Nunwan base camp.
July 2001: Amarnath Yatris was re -focused, this time in the Sheshnag base camp in Anantnag, killing 13.
October 1, 2001: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislation Complex in Srinagar was hit by a terrorist attack of suicide (Fidayeen) and killed 36 people.
2002: Terror hit Chandanwari in the base camp and 11 Amarnath Yatris was killed.
23 November 2002: Nineteen people, including nine security forces, three women and two children, lost their lives in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion for a Lower Munda in South Kashmir on the National Highway Jammu-Srinagar.
March 23, 2003: Terrorists massacred at least 24 cashmere pandits, including 11 women and two children, in the village of Nandimarg in the Pulwama district.

June 13, 2005: Thirteen civilians were killed, including two school children and three CRPF officers, and more than 100 people suffered injuries when a car fired an explosive car on the crowded market in Pulwam.
June 12, 2006: Nine Nin Nepalese and Bihari’s workers were killed in Kulgam.
July 10, 2017: Attack on AMARNATH YATRA bus in Kulgam, 8 killed.
