Mahesh Kumar Goud, President of the Telangana Pradesh (TPCC) Congress Committee, launched his “Janahit Padayatra” from Parigi on Thursday. “Congress has always been known to meet people directly with people,” he said he quoted Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi earlier.
“We go to understand people, not for media subtitles,” he said, explaining that Padayatra was in line with the Directives of the Congress Committee (AIC), which intends to collect feedback on existing social security systems and understand what more people want.
Mr. Goud claimed that the government of Congress, even though the state inherited the indebted debt from the previous BRS regime, successfully managed social care and development.
He focuses on BRS, said the former CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao buried Telangana under the debt, and the congress was now forced to pay huge interest on loans without any significant development with borrowed money. Thanks to the initiatives of the Congress Government led by Reddy, investments of 1.80 GBP Lakh came into the state, he said.
He emphasized key achievements since the Congress took the lead, referred to 65,000 jobs fulfilled and 35,000 others that would soon be announced, indiramma houses, free travel of buses for women and fine rice through rationing shops.
BC quota
Mr. Goud, who hit BJP and BRS, questioned their sincerity to reserve Bc. “BJP leaders make big statements about support of 42% of BC reservation, but do not join the government protests in Delhi 5. August 6 and 7 to fight for legal recognition.”
Mr. Goud added that BRS MLC K. Kavitha has nothing to do with BC reservations and asked where her commitment was when BRS was in power.
AICC, authorized by Meenakshi Natarajan, said Congress was dedicated to Ambedkař and Phuule’s vision of social justice. “Padayatra Rahula Gandhi has never been politics. It was listening to people. Our government in Telangana was acting immediately on the Rahul Council,” she said, calling on all progressive forces to join the BC rights in Delhi and make it a national priority.
Ministers D. Sridhar Babu, Konda Arekha and the paraigi MLA T. Rammohan Reddy also joined him.
