Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Friday (July 25, 2025) hit Uttar Pradesh and said that “own people and workers” of the party of Bharatiya Janata (BJP) in the state “did not receive justice”.
His comment was focused on a viral video in which the leader of BJP and former deputy Anil Shukl Warsi was seen protesters at the Kanpur police station after five BJP supporters reserved for the scheduled caste and scheduled tribal law.
“No one is to hear in the BJP government. Their own people will not get justice, nor a representative of CM was scolded. In 10 years, we learned that BJP is not suitable for secularism, democracy, socialism, electricity and the future of children,” said Mr. Yadav.
In the video, Mr. Shukla, whose wife Pratibha is a junior minister in the state government, is seen that he will face representatives of the main Minister Brajesh Pathak over the phone and accuse him of “not to provide any security to Brahmin’s community”.
“Either I should leave the policy or hang up … You were made by a representative of cm to protect and secure the safety of the brahmins, and here the brahmins are abused and fake cases are registered.
Mrs. Pratibha and her husband protested for six hours before the police station in Kanpur Dehat on July 24 and demanded suspension of the local station and the inspector to allegedly submit a “false case”. Both accused the inspector of “abuse” of legal provisions and work under political pressure.
The highest district officials reached the place and dispersed the tension with the promise of the investigation against the inspector. They also removed the station.
Previously, the police registered a company complaint with a man named Baburam Gautam, who accused Abrara, Yusufa, Aslam, Yasir and Shiva Pandey of using the “Casteist Slurs” and issuing threats before land dispute.
All five are reportedly known to Mrs. Path and her husband.
