On Friday evening, a heavy night rain was accompanied by a thunder and a sudden wind on Friday evening, uprooting at least seven trees and heading 19 branches around the city.
Several areas, including HSR, ULSOOR, the rainbow distribution, were among the worst affected, while Electronics City, Indianagar, SG Palya, Suranjandas Road stretched along the outer circular roads witnessed by heavy floods.
According to the large Bengalurur Authority (GBA), most of the complaints about fallen trees and branches from Bengalur West and South Zones, including Rajajinagar, Vijayanagar and Padmanabhanagar, came. On Saturday morning, all tree complaints and 18 out of 19 complaints related to the branch were earmarked.
Data from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) show that the city recorded 68.3 mm of precipitation on Saturday, while the Hal Airport received 22.3 mm and the International KEVEGOWDA Airport received 20.8 mm.
The forecast predicted the continuing wet conditions until October 15. The city is likely to experience a cloudy sky with light to medium rain or thunderstorms throughout the week, with maximum temperatures around 29 to 30 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of about 20 to 21 degrees Celsius.
