Thanks to its ability to sequencies a large amount of carbon dioxide, it is ideal for environmental regeneration projects.
Currently, with a lack of watering and pruning, dried vegetation is the eye, the inhabitants say.
“The park was launched with the intention of creating green lungs in the neighborhood of Ponmai. Now it resembles a crushed forest that no one can enter,” said civil activist KC Neelamegam Hindu.
Those who dare to look into the folded fence can see faded boards explanatory history of the park. Stone seats, metal corridor of metal grilles and rotating gates clearly saw better days.
In tropical conditions, Beema Bambus is said to grow one and a half feet a day. Since the clone is firm and sterile, the control of its growth and harvest is easier than a conventional bamboo.
“With regular watering and pruning, Oxygen Park could be beneficial for families of railway staff living in Ponmai and around.
