President Donald Trump, who led the US war against Iran, is facing problems at home. A new national poll now reveals that at least 66 percent of Americans feel that Washington is not worth the war.
The survey, conducted by Strength in Numbers and Verasight, found that only 29 percent of Americans felt the war in Tehran was worth it, and only eight percent were unsure.
In addition, roughly 55 percent of Americans would support a vote by the US House of Representatives to impeach Trump. The poll, which ran from April 10-14, asked 1,514 US adults whether they would support or oppose an impeachment vote against the president. Only 37 percent were opposed and eight percent said they were unsure.

Pollster G. Elliott Morris described the results as surprising. Morris noted that a surprising percentage of both Republicans and Trump’s own voters in 2024 say they would support impeachment if the vote were held today. A net margin of +18 (support minus opposition) puts Trump near the numbers seen by Richard Nixon at the height of the Watergate scandal in August 1974.
What did the survey reveal?
According to a recent poll, only 35 percent of Americans strongly or somewhat approve of Trump’s job performance, while 61 percent disapprove and only 3 percent are unsure.
