The fourth annual Purple Ride, a motorcycle rally aimed at promoting preventive care for women, was organized in Hyderabad in association with Apollo Hospitals on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The rally saw more than 1,000 motorcyclists ride through the city to spread awareness about the importance of early health screening and preventive care for women.
Sangita Reddy, Joint CEO, Apollo Hospitals, told the participants that women often prioritize the health of their families and neglect their own well-being. She noted that regular screenings for conditions such as heart disease, breast and cervical cancer, diabetes and anemia are essential and that early detection through routine check-ups can save lives.
