OV Vijayan’s birthday will be celebrated on 2nd July

The OV Vijayan Memorial Committee will celebrate the birthday of legendary Malayalam writer OV Vijayan near Thasrak here on July 2. District Collector Sudhir K. will inaugurate the event titled ‘Khasak, a pictorial epic’.

Committee President TK Narayanadas will preside over the function. Writer Susmesh Chandroth will deliver a memorial address. A memorial lecture will be delivered by critic Asha Menon.

Writers like PA Vasudevan, CP Chitrabhanu, TK Shankaranarayanan, Sreekrishnapuram Krishnankutty, Raghunathan Parali, KP Ramesh, P. Murali, CP Chitra, Jyothibai Pariyadath, Suresh Kodur, Mohandas Sreekrishnapuram, Jaelan PV, Jaesh Manayaran Veettikkad and M. Sivakumar will share their memories and reflections on the life and literary legacy of Vijayan.
