The outgoing CEO of the police and the head of the police forces Shankar Jiwal from the outgoing Tamil Nadu is ready to take over as the first chairman of the fire brigade established by the state government, since September 1.
The government issued an order on Friday. Other members include other director (administration) of fire and rescue services and secretary of CMDA members. The Commission shall introduce technological innovations in the field of fire and rescue operations and regulate the issue of fire licenses and fire safety into buildings.
Farewell
Meanwhile, on Friday evening, the police force held Mr. Jiwal and the police housing of Tamil Nadu Shailesh Kumar Yadav, who leave 31.
The show was carried out at the Rajarathinam stadium in Egmore and attracted the participation of various contingents of force. The leading police and their families and retirement officers witnessed the event.
Mr. Jiwal is an officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1990, who joined the power as an assistant to the police supervisor (ASP), Mannargudi. In 2021 it served in various capacities and in 2021 was appointed DGP and Hopf in 2023.
In his farewell speech, Mr. Jiwal said: “The journey is long and pleasant. So we will always meet and look forward to providing you with help, and we will also seek help from you, if necessary. No other department has homogeneity and bonhomia that the police department has.”
Mr. Yadav, an IPS officer of 1993, began his career as ASP in Tirunelveli in 1995, at the time of intense caste and municipal unrest. Later he worked as a police commissioner in Tiruch and Madurai, general inspector of the police, south and ADGP, social care, idol wing CID. Currently, DGP/chairman of Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation.
Describing anti-sterlit protests in thoothuku in May 2018 as a deeply demanding situation in the area of law and order faced in his career, Mr. Yadav said, “While our actions were procedurely and later adhered to the CBI and NHRC, which is permanent.
Mr. Yadav also appreciated the courage and commitment of officers who were on Earth during this crisis. “In unstable situations, I firmly believed that leading from the front, and maintaining strength motivated, focused and procedurally fair. These moments tested me, but also revealed what the police may be at its best.
