The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) on Monday directed all candidates registered under its One Time Registration (OTR) system to compulsorily update and verify their details.
All future notifications, applications, results and final selections will be based on candidates’ unique OTR data, the Commission said. According to it, about 31.65 lakh candidates are registered in its data system.
Mandatory updating of these details, the Commission noted, is in view of the recent categorization of Scheduled Castes and changes in the educational qualifications of the candidates.
“This initiative is part of the Commission’s efforts to ensure faster completion of recruitment processes, timely declaration of results and timely issuance of appointment orders and avoid delays caused by data discrepancies and incomplete documentation,” it said.
The OTR update process must include verification and correctness of personal details, educational and category details of the candidate, all eligible and additional qualifications, uploading of all relevant certificates including latest passport size color photograph.
While the last date for completing this mandatory exercise was February 2, it has now been extended to February 25.
As a general rule, each candidate should have only one OTR, which is valid until canceled by the candidate or the Commission for any reason.
He also pointed out that not all existing data will be editable and candidate can only add, enhance their data by uploading additional qualifications, changes in correspondence address and communication, EWS status and category related details.
Candidates must be extremely careful while uploading and editing the data as the updated OTRs will be treated as primary and final data and will be considered for all future notifications, the Commission said.
All modifications will be allowed on the set date – February 25th. Further details are available on the Commission’s website (
