
As part of the initiative for strengthening election machines and readiness for voting, the district income officer (DRO) K. Mohan Kumar performed on Saturday inspection in Godowns EVM in collectors. Representatives of the main political parties, including TDP, BJP, YSRCP, JSP, Congress and Left, accompanied the official.
The inspections were held on the status of electrification, supervision modes and storage systems. Dro ordered officials to support the correct order of electoral materials and cleanliness of space.
Later, at the meeting by the parties, DRO announced the initiative to set up other election stations in locations where existing stands provide more than 1200 voters. In accordance with the proposal of the rationalization module for 2026, the number of polling stations in the Chittoor district would increase from 1,776 to 1,974, the official said.
Mr. Mohan Kumar ordered the field staff to prepare proposals for relocating polling stations in dilapidated structures. He said that such stations would be renamed for better availability. He emphasized the need for timely resolution of voters’ demands and said that the Chittoor district is currently in the state in the state. All employees were instructed to submit details of the officers at the level of the stand in the prescribed format and correspond to the instructions of India (ECI) the Election Commission (ECI).
