Police officials Lokayukta arrested Jyothi Prakash, an officer for a special duty (OSD) of the Energy Minister KJ George, along with her driver Naveen M., a contractual employee, taking a bribe of 50,000 GBP for official kindness.
Mr. Prakash is also a powerful engineer Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (KptCl).
According to officials, Mr. Prakash asked 1 lakh to give the night for a sanction to connect to electricity to Ananthraja. The pineapple could not pay the amount, turned to the police of Lokayukta and filed a complaint on the basis of the trap laid and the duo was arrested in the prevention of the 1988 Corruption Act.
