Minister of Health, Medical Education and Family Care Y. Satya Kumar Yadav on Tuesday 6th May ordered the investigation of two government doctors in a three -year case when the patient on which the duo operated after several days.
According to official release from the Health Department, two government doctors, a specialist in a civil surgeon and a civil assistant surgeon (anesthesia), worked in the area of the Jangareddygud district in the district of Eluru.
In 2022, both of them performed an operation at a patient at a private hospital in Yangaredygud during their working hours. The patient died after a few days and a complaint was filed to accusing the doctor of causing the patient’s death due to negligence.
Satya Kumar Yadav ordered a serious view of this incident and ordered officials to investigate and initiate appropriate disciplinary proceedings against doctors.
In their written explanation, the doctors stated that during the office hours they performed an operation in a private hospital for humanitarian reasons and that they did not neglect and attracted mercy.
