The Children Care Committee Ernakulm (CWC) issued an order to the district official of the protection of children (DCPO) to restore NIDHI custody, a child who was abandoned almost five months ago when delivered in Ernakulm General Hospital, almost five months ago.
Last month, Jharkhand CWC released its counterparts to Ernacula that parents had the ability to take care of the child, regardless of their financial restrictions. Ernakulam CWC wrote to his counterparts in Jharkhand after his parents returned to the city after the Kochi Municipal Police traced them using a police contingent from Jharkhand, who came to the city to participate in the national level in April. Police Ernakulam Town North also provided a report to favorable parents who were booked for leaving the child when delivery.
“Although the child’s parents are in the city, we will only hand it over to Jharkhand CWC. DCPO and special juvenile police were asked to accompany the girl back to Jharkhand. Her parents contacted us only the second day, and we assured them that their child would be safely restored with them,” Vincent Joseph, Ernakula CWC.
Nidhi was moved from Ernakulm General Hospital to the Institute for Children Care after being considered sufficiently healthy in April. Her mother gave birth prematurely, only 28 weeks to pregnancy, in the general hospital, and then disappeared shortly after January 29. Since then, Nidhi has changed from an anemic child weighing only 950 grams to a relatively healthy hesitation of more than 2.50 kilograms.
Nidhi’s mother was rushed to the General Hospital after she developed working pain when the train reached Ernacula 29. They worked on a fish farm in Kottayam. Shortly after giving birth, the child was transferred to a private hospital in the city for specialized care. However, the parents disappeared soon after the mother was released. The child was then moved back to the general hospital.
