In West Bengal, the political series broke out of the alleged use of the Israeli flag leaders of BJP during the RAM Navami in Bhatpar, North 24 Parganas on Sunday (April 6, 2025).
Congress Trinamool MLA Somenath Shyam Ichini filed a police complaint against the former deputy BJP Arjun Singh and the leader of BJP Priyang Pandey on Monday (April 7, 2025) in the evening, saying that this is a “deliberate attempt to destroy communal harmony, peace, image and religious culture”.
“They should be immediately reserved and must be initiated against them strong legal steps to commit this type of abominable crime,” Mr. Shyam read the officer behind the Bhatpar police station.
The MLA also accused the leader of the BJP of participating in the “incorporation of activities”.
On the other hand, Mr. Singh accused the government of Mamata Banerjee of differential treatment. He asked if it was a crime to carry an Israeli flag when “transfer of the Palestine flag during the Muharram parade in Kankinara was not a crime.”
