The income authorities on Wednesday (July 16) moved 49 people belonging to 16 families in the village of Marutonkara to safer places after a sudden increase in water levels in Kadantharapuzha, the tributary of the Kuttiyadi River. There were unconfirmed news about a small landslide near Pasukadav. The movement of heavy vehicles through Thamarassery and Kuttiyadi Ghat Roads was limited to the next announcement. Schools got free on Thursday.
