
Public procurement centers were opened in the Chamarajanagar district to buy sunflower seeds of fair average quality (FAQ) from farmers below the minimum support price of the 2025-26 kharif center. Registration for farmers will begin on October 9.
Public procurement centers were established in the Committee on the Agricultural Product Market (APMC) in Chamarajanagar, Collegal, Hanura and Gundlopeet, as well as Terracanambi, GundLuPet. Farmers who want to sell sunflowers within the MSP system must register in these centers, according to a press release deputy director of agricultural marketing Chamarajanagar.
The Center set the SME at 7,721 GBP for Quintal and will be made by Karnataka Cooperative Oilseeds Growers’ Federation Ltd. (Kof).
Only farmers who have sunflowers registered in their records on rights, rental and crops (RTC) in the framework of crop survey will be entitled to a public procurement system. Shopping will be limited to four quintals for acre and will be accepted a maximum of 20 meters to farmers in the sunflower in quality. Payments will be made directly to bank accounts associated with Aadhaar-bound to farmers through a direct transfer of benefits.
Farmers must bring photocopies of their Pahani/RTC, Aadhaar Card, Bank Passbook (associated with Aadhaar), photo of the Passport size and Fartal Fartal ID (FID). FID can be obtained from Raith Sampark Kendras at the Hobli-Level level or at the Taluk Agricultural Office.
From October 9, farmers can register for public procurement to take advantage of the MSP system.
