Openi signed an agreement with the Oracle technology giant to build $ 300 billion in computer infrastructure, which will be used to develop artificial intelligence technologies and their delivery to businesses and consumers, said two people who introduced the agreement.
Openi said earlier that he had achieved an agreement with Oracle on the construction of massive AI data centers in the United States as part of what the Stargate project calls. However, the launch of AI did not reveal the details of the contract.
Both companies agreed to spend $ 300 billion for the construction of data centers in about five years, said people who spoke of the state of anonymity because they were not entitled to discuss the agreement. In July, Oracle set part of the agreement in regulatory filing, but did not reveal much details.
The agreement was previously reported The Wall Street Journal.
Oracle’s shares price climbed more than 40 percent on Wednesday after the company revealed that it has added more than $ 317 billion in the future contracts during the last quarter.
Project Stargate is part of a wider effort to build AI data centers around the world. Openai, Amazon, Google, Meta and Microsoft plan to spend more than $ 300 billion together in giant data centers by the end of this year.
In January, Openi, Oracle and the Japanese conglomerate SoftBank joined President Trump and announced that they would create at least $ 100 billion in the Stargate project in computational infrastructure in the United States.
They also said they were planning to expand their $ 500 billion in the coming years. After signing his agreement with Oracle, Oncei secured obligations for more than half of this goal.
The construction is already taking place in data centers in Abilene, Texas and are also planning to build in other places.
Separately plans to build a massive computational complex in the United Arab Emirates, by agreement between Trump’s administration and the Persian Persian nation. This device is part of the company with Oracle, SoftBank, Emirati artificial intelligence G42 and others.
The G42 will also contribute money to the construction of Openai data centers in the United States, Openi said. For every dollar that G42 and its partners invest in the Emirates, they invest an equal amount in American facilities. The size of the planned Middle East data center suggests that the G42 invests tens of billions of dollars in each country.
