OpenAI CEO Sam Altman claims the company now has a basic understanding of how to build artificial common intelligence (AGI) and shifts its focus to superintelligence. Artman stressed that superintelligence can reshape the world and accelerate scientific discovery and innovation beyond human capabilities. Although the CEO has not shared any roadmap, he said the world will see the first glance of the technology in the coming years. To date, OpenAI has not made fun of any AI models with AGI capabilities.
Openai CEO emphasizes super smart
In his personal blog, Altman has published a new one-year-long post that he looks back at the company’s journey and shares where the company is heading in the near future. The CEO of OpenAI also stressed that the company was founded as a nonprofit research lab nine years ago and that the company didn’t make sense in the tech industry until the launch of Chatgpt in November 2022. He also revealed that AI Chatbot was originally called “Chat”. with GPT-3.5. ”
In the future, Ultraman claims the company has a traditional basic understanding of building AGI systems, adding that the first AI agents may join the workforce in 2025. In particular, it is believed that multi-step general AI agents will need a level of AGI to solve complex real-world tasks. Openai has not released its first AI proxy yet.

Currently, there are rumors that the AI company is developing GPT-5, which is said to be a project code-named Orion. Additionally, OpenAI teased the O3 series AI model focusing on advanced reasoning, which is expected to be released later this year.
