On Saturday, the “Open Day 2025”, organized by JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) and Sri Jayacamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), attracted students and parents.
The event was formally declared open in the statue of Sjce Circle from CG Betsurmath, the executive secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysur, who was the main guest for this occasion.
Santosh Kumar, Vice -President, JSS Stu, C. Nataraju, Director (responsible), P. Nanjundaswamy, exam administrator and BS Harish, representative of the registrar were present.
The prepared events of KM Anil Kumar and Mn Nagendra Prasad were also present, along with university officers, departments, faculty members and students from Mysur and the surrounding regions.
Dr. Betsurmath introduced an application of a virtual tour, developed by university students. It is designed to lead visitors through daily activities and exhibitions of the campus.
The area was thwarted throughout the day by activity, when participants examined live demonstrations, work models and project displays, introduced the focus of the institution on technological innovations, research and application in the real world.
Competitions such as model exhibitions, posters and prototype display presentations have emphasized the creativity and skills of solving the problems of participating students.
Students from various engineering universities in Mysur, Bengalur and nearby regions participated in competitions for the presentation of the project. The department’s performances were evaluated by a jury of judges. The event also represented the cultural performances of students, while interactive stalls established by student clubs involved visitors in games and creative activities.
The main peak was an air show made by the Department of Mechanical Engineering on the KSCA land. “Open Day 2025”, with a foot exceeding 8,000 participants, served as an engaging platform for students to show off their talents and for visitors to experience the academic environment of JSS Stu and SJce.
