Although there are more than 3,000 institutions and workplaces, only about 650 establishments have so far uploaded details of their Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs) on the Sexual Harassment electronic Box (SHe-Box) portal, Karnataka State Women’s Commission Chairperson Nagalakshmi Choudhary said in Mangaluru on Saturday, March 7.
Dr. Speaking to reporters at the culmination of her four-day tour of Dakshina Kannada, Choudhary said the establishment of ICCs at workplaces is mandatory under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The SHe-Box portal was created by the Ministry of Women and Children at Workplaces to enable women and children to register complaints.
