Online Gaming Account: President Droubadi Murmu on Friday gave consent to promoting and regulating the online game account that Rajya Sabha passed on Thursday, August 21.
The bill was approved by Lok Sabha on Wednesday.
It was brought to encourage electronic sports and online social games, and at the same time prohibited malicious online gaming services, advertising and financial transactions that were related to them.
Promotion and regulation of the online game account prohibits all platforms for playing online online, while facilitators face up to three years in prison and fines until £1 crore. Even the promotion of these platforms through ads can lead to two years of imprisonment and sanctions to £50 Lakh.
Its aim is to promote electronic sports and online social games while disable online playing.
This law will help provide legal support to electronic sports. Previously, there was no legal support for electronic sports.
To promote electronic sports, the Ministry for Matters and Sports for Youth will introduce a reserved framework.
The government will also promote online social games.
Krishhnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and IT, previously said on Friday morning that once the President granted the proposal consent, the notice of notification will be followed by the date on which the bill enters into force.
“We must also propose rules according to the law and issue rules that must be drawn up. Since the bill is structured, even without rules, because the rules regulate certain aspects, there are some provisions that can come into force without rules, but this is the decision that we accept.”
The government believes that the damage of such an activity can prevent damage, financial losses and even extreme consequences such as suicide associated with playing money online.
Nor did the news about money laundering and terror financing appeared and quoted resources.
