With a bill that prohibits cash -based gaming models, these sponsorship flows could dry out, which directly affects:
- PTI says the Central BCCI revenue fund from team and league sponsors.
- Franchise leagues in cricket, Kabaddi and football that rely on gaming sponsorship.
- Accompanches of an individual player who can decrease dramatically.
Sports lawyer Vidushpat Singhania believes that the Indian cricket will survive, but not without consequences, according to the PTI report.
“Cricket is huge in India and will have no lack of sponsors for Indian cricket and its properties.
Could the fantasy platform adapt?
Industry initiates say fantasy games can turn towards a subscription model and charge users an entry fee instead of facilitating real money betting. However, such models do not have to generate the same range of income as the Fantasy League based on cash.

As explained by Singhania PTI:
“Will be a subscription and say you pay.” £100 for the game application and test your skills in fantasy game games. But the actual gaming of money that pays and earns money is prohibited under this law. ”

Who benefits from the account?
While cricket may face financial presses, the ESports industry welcomed the bill. Given that Esports acquires the Olympic recognition and planned to debut at the ESports Olympic Games in Riyadh in 2027, recognition of legislation is considered a milestone as a different category.
