Ongole Municipal Corporation achieves world record with mega waste sorting unit on September 19

As part of the Ongole Municipal Corporation’s 150 year celebrations, a grand garbage sorting drive will be held across the city for one hour on Saturday morning. The drive is expected to set world records by involving every household in the city.

District Collector P. Raja Babu announced that this program is being organized to present the historically important city as an iconic city to the world. He inspired the staff by saying, “The responsibility to bring this special recognition to the city where you work lies with you.

He further instructed the secretariat staff to create awareness and ensure that every family is involved in this mega segregation drive. He said that based on the details of the participants from each sanitation division, a draw would be conducted and gold coins would be given to the winners.
