ROHIT’S RECORD IN AUSTRALIA
Rohit played a total of 33 matches for Australia and scored 1530 runs at an average of 56.66 during that time. He shot six hundred and five-under. Rohit was able to sign off in style in Sydney with a match-winning 121 not out to guide India to a nine-wicket victory.
After the match, Rohit said that he always enjoyed playing cricket in Australia and it was a nice way to end with a win.
“I’ve always enjoyed playing cricket here in Australia. I have great memories of 2008 and it’s a nice way to end it, talk, get that win and feel that connection again. I don’t know if we’ll be back in Australia, but it’s been a lot of fun over the years we’ve played here. Thank you, Australia,” Rohit said.
Rohit and Virat Kohli will be back in action during the ODI series against South Africa. Both men are expected to feature in domestic cricket and to play for the Vijay-Hazare trophy as he tries to make the squad for the 2027 ODI World Cup.
