
One person died and three were injured after a fire broke out in a chawla in Cuffe Parade area of Mumbai, Maharashtra on Monday, PTI reported citing the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The fire was brought under control around 4.30 am today, ANI reported.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to bring the fire under control. In another incident, a fire broke out at a furniture warehouse in Katni, Madhya Pradesh.
DM Pramod Chaturvedi said the cause of the fire is currently unknown and the goods have been valued ₹4 million were destroyed.
“It was a furniture warehouse that caught fire, although the exact cause of the fire is not known… The owner said that goods worth more than ₹4 lakh were destroyed… We are constantly trying to bring the fire under control,” Chaturvedi told ANI.
