The court in Abu Dhabi ordered the company to pay the man DH110 400 ( £26 Lakh) for unpaid wages. The man was hired, but he was never allowed to start working. From November 11, 2024 to 7 April 2025, he submitted a case with a request for a salary.
His contract promised the basic salary of DH7 200 ( £1.70 lakh) and the total monthly salary of DH24 000 ( £5,65 lakh). However, according to Khaleei Times, the company constantly delayed the date of connection without paying it.
The lawyer asked the court to move the case to another department. However, the court found that a delay was an employer’s error based on salaries and contractual documents.
The SAE Court ruled in favor of the employee and stated that wages must be paid in time under labor law. The law clearly states that the salary of the worker is their right and cannot be detained if the worker has officially agreed or the company has legal evidence, according to publication.
In this case, the employer claimed that the worker had not been involved and left. However, the Court did not find any proper investigation to support this claim.
The employee admitted to take eight days off that was deducted. The court ordered the payment of the salary for four months and 18 days.
