
Two people were arrested for randomly burning a country weapon, which killed their cousin in the village of Kallicherri near the town of Pernambut in Vellore on Wednesday.
Police identified arrested individuals as K. Sabareesan (25 years) and B. Vijay, 23. They were the cousins of the deceased, V. Harikrishnan, 24.
The initial investigation revealed that Harikrishnan and his cousins went to hunt wild birds in the nearby Hillock area. For this purpose he took his country with him. The police said he had received a weapon many years ago from friends in Kerala to protect his crops from wild animals, especially wild institutions, because the village is located near reserve forests on the border.
The police said that when they both entered a small cave uphill, Sabareesan and Vijay tried to run a weapon when a mistake. Harikrishnan was hit and died immediately.
After the Police of the Pernambuts obeyed the warning of farmers and the nearby residents who heard the shot, they looked at the scene. The body was sent to the Government Medical College Hospital in the vellore for a postmort test. The case was registered and both were arrested. The police confiscated a weapon made in the country. Investigations are underway.
