The 28 -year -old software engineer shared at Reddit that he was unhappy in his organized marriage. The realization comes two months after his wedding when he found something about his wife.
The man wanted a wife who worked and earned at least 70% of his salary. He feels financial equality equals the duties of the household.
Now found that his wife who earns £75 000, gives £40,000 a month to your parents for a housing loan. This is something that has never revealed before marriage. He feels cheated because it is a long -term financial burden in which he had no word.
“Now I feel completely betrayed. Since the first day of this marriage, I have been dealing with about 70% of the total workload. For me it is unsustainable. I have discussed it many times, but every time it plays an emotional card and somehow I became a villain for questioning,” he wrote.
The Reddit user says he does not want any stake in his family’s house. He also feels imprisoned in a situation filled with a drama he has never faced before.
“I am not interested in shared ownership of this house. Because it doesn’t matter, it will still be their house. I am young and I come from a quiet, direct family background and I have never faced such a drama before,” he said.
“Now I am seriously considering ending this marriage. He currently has no idea,” he added.
The reaction of social media
Some Reddit users have come to give him real advice to save his marriage.
“Ask her if they can name the house in their name! He came from one of them.
“I had a serious conversation with her first,” he suggested.
One user wondered if a man asked her to “go half to accounts”.
“It’s her money – she can spend as she wants if you both sat down and agreed differently … At the end of the day, justice in marriage is always about the perfect division of each account – these are both partners who bring value in different forms,” the user wrote.
One user wrote: “If he is the only child and inherits the house … paying 40,000 per month is basically as investing in real estate because the property will eventually come to it.”
“Seriously, do you want to end the marriage just because it pays for the newly built home of your parents from her salary? Don’t you do it for your parents?” asked another user.
