The case of cholera was confirmed in Thaloavady in Kuttanad. The patient identified as Raghu PG Ward VI in Thalavady Grama Panchayat was admitted to the private hospital in Thirullle and is to support the fan.
“Cholera has been confirmed in one person, although the test result is expected. The patient has co -morbidity and is in critical condition. The health department has begun measures to prevent the dissemination of the disease,” said Jamuna Varghese, a district physician.
The health department and local Panchayat launched surveys over disease and sanitizations for war positions in Thalavady. Officials stated that healthcare professionals gathered samples of water from holes and other watercourses in the region and sent them for testing.
Raghu was originally hospitalized with fever and diarrhea in a private hospital. After deterioration of his condition he was moved to the hospital in Thirvallle.
