In the operation led by the police Vincent, together with the Inspector Ramkumar, the Sub-Invcessor and the Police Staff team from the Criminal Investigation Criminal Investigation Department (CS-CS-CID), an illegal smuggling missile involving public distribution (PDS).
The team worked on the tip and led patrols through the areas of Manapparai, Puthanatham and Thuvarankurichi. Based on the received intelligence, they captured the vehicle near thettur Division Road and confiscated 21 bags – 1,075 kg. – illegally transported rice.
The arrested individual was identified as T. Pandi Selvam, the inhabitants of Otha Kovilpatti in Melur, Madurai. Rice was reportedly smuggled for sale on the black market.
The police also confiscated the two -round bike, which was used for transport. The accused was arrested and given in a central prison.
