On Saturday evening, a 21 -year -old man was arrested in connection with an attempt at a funeral of a newborn girl in the village of Udhayasuriyapuram, located under the limits of Panayapatti police station in Thirumayam Taluk.
The crime came to light after the older neighbor noticed an attempt to bury the child and warned the police. Police Panayapatti, who behaved quickly, saved the child before it could hurt him any damage. Later, the same night, Silambarasan, 21 from Vayogam in Annavasal, belonging to the MBC community. Reportedly he was in a romantic relationship with the mother of the child, R. Vinodhou, 21, from the planned caste. The police suspect he is a child’s biological father.
Silambarasan was booked according to sections 91 (intention to cause the child’s death after birth) and 49 (establishing or encouragement of crime) Bharatiya nyaya Sanhit (BNS), police resources said.
Vinodha, who delivered a child on Friday morning, is treated with her child in the Pudukkotta Raniyar government. The police said that measures would be taken against it as soon as it was released.
