The state government has launched a process of promoting postgraduate teachers of primary primary (GPT) and primary school teachers (PST) of the Kalyan Karnataka region to advocate the assistant of the Secondary School of Class 2 from April 17th.
Now, in an unprecedented step, Akash S., another commissioner for the public teaching of the Kalaburagagi division has appealed to teachers not to take any step that could prevent this process from addressing courts. On Wednesday, he wrote the President/Secretary of Karnatak (6-8) the State Association for Teachers of Elementary Teachers, Bengalur and Kalaburagi and asked them not to leave the court to seek their cooperation.
Problem
After the appointment of GPT teachers for classes 6 to 8 in government schools in the state since 2015–16, PST teachers were planned to teach only from classes 1 to 5 according to the rules. However, thousands of PST teachers also have educational qualifications with the title B.ED and were asked for their promotion to the cadre in high school, but the process of promoting the teacher was in the state for about 10 years.
The government recently issued a notice with certain clarification of GPT and PST teachers to the post of secondary teachers.
In accordance with this announcement, DSE, which took steps for the promotion of teachers, announced the schedule to complete the processes on the basis of educational qualifications and seniorities from 17 to 20 May and to provide placement through counseling.
There are 2,878 vacancies in the cadre of secondary school teachers in the Kalyana Kernataka districts and the government took steps to promote PST and GPT teachers for all these contributions.
In greater interest
Dr. Akash S. has already organized several meetings with officials and associations for the postgraduate association of Karnataka teachers for the promotion process. The letter states that this step will benefit from many PST and GPT assistants and GPT division Kalaburagagi, many of which are on the brink of retirement.
“If the promotion process occurs according to the government’s announcement, it will be a positive step in Kalyan Karnatak in terms of education. We are looking for full cooperation and agreement and ask you not to prevent this process, and I expect your full cooperation in the educational interest of Kalyan Karnatak.”
