
Main Minister Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah on May 27 organized a special meeting of the cabinet in Pahalgam, which last month shaken by a deadly terrorist attack to provide a clear report that the government would not be “intimidated by cowardly terrorist actions”.

“Today we chaired the cabinet meeting in Pahalgam. It was not just a routine administrative exercise, but a clear message – we are not intimidated by cowardly terrorist acts,” the Chief Minister’s Office said in the X.

Abdullah, during his first stint as the main minister of the former State of Jamm and Kashmir in 2009–14, organized meetings of the cabinet in remote areas such as Guz, Machil, Tangdhar region in the northern Kashmir and Rajouri and the POONCH areas of the Jammu region.
The decision to organize a special cabinet meeting also comes three days after Abdullah proposed a double approach to Resuscitation of the Tourism and Kashmir Tourism, which was seriously affected by the Pahalgam terrorist attack and urged the resort to order the dog to organize meetings in Kashmir.
This appeal was at the meeting of the Aayog Niti Administration Council under the Presidency of the Prime Minister Narendry Modi.

The Chief Minister believes that this joint effort of the government will significantly alleviate public concerns, supports the renewed sense of security and trust, and eventually prepares the way to revive tourism in the Kashmir Valley, bringing much -necessary economic relief and returning to normal.
