Meanwhile, the main minister opposed any proposal to divert water from Jamm and Kashmir into any other nearby state. “I will never allow that. Our people in Jamm already face such drought conditions. Why should we divert our water into a pandjab? Will they get water under Indus water contract. They have ever share water with us when we needed it?” said.
After the restoration of statehood, Mr. Abdullah said that the hope for the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The promise has not yet been fulfilled,” he added.
