Maharashtra: What began as an occasional chat between a man and a girl in a café was soon shocking that the man was reportedly defeated to death in the Mahari in the Jalgaon district.
The man, Suleiman Khan, at the age of 20, was reportedly defeated by ten people after he was seen by chatting with a girl, police officials said on Wednesday, PTI reported. Four individuals were also arrested in connection with the case.
Four accusations were made before the local court, who handed them over in police custody and in the search for a crime championship.
How was the man attacked
The man, the inhabitants of Betawad Khurd, went to Jamner on Monday to complete the form for the police recruitment test. He chatted with a girl in a café when ten individuals confronted him and started an attack on him, police officials said.
The group then forced Khana back to their village, where they attacked it with sticks and iron rods at the local bus booth. When his family tried to intervene, they were also beaten.
Khan was hurried to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead, the official said.
Why was the man beaten to death?
The police suspect that old hostility led to the murder of Suleiman Khan, who was preparing for a police recruitment test, PTI informed.
The incident created tension in Jamner, leading to the deployment of police staff in sensitive areas.
Khan’s relatives and the locals gathered on Monday evening at Jamner Police Station and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits and strict events.
The case registered under BNS
The case was registered under various parts of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) for kidnapping, riots and murder.
“Prima facie, old hostility between two groups is the cause of the incident. We are exploring the case from different angles,” the clerk said.
