Collector SRIDHAR Chamakuri addressed officials of education and social departments after seeing the tribal hostel in Rayachhoti in the Rayachoti district in the district of Annamayya on Saturday.
The collector of the district district Annamayy Sridhar Chamakuri ordered officials to immediately upgrade the infrastructure and social measures in all tribal social schools and dormitories, except that it insists to keep the marriage of children.
The collector organized an inspection meeting with the directors and hostels on Saturday. Mr. Sridhar said that students in tribal institutions should be provided with any basic facility for a safe and supportive educational environment. “All waiting work in hostels and classrooms must be completed with quality and within a set time frame,” he said.
The collector ordered the officials of the Department of Education and Social Security to regularly check the classrooms and hostels and ensure that lights, fans, drinking water and functional toilets are well used. He informed the district tribal official to initiate urgent infrastructure repairs and also involved donors to raise funds.
Mr. Sridhar insisted that teachers had to attend study hours and watch the participation of students. “If in any case, girls from classes 6 to 10 remain missing for more than two days, the team in question should personally visit their home and ensure that they are brought back to schools,” he said. Wardens Hostel should focus on providing maintenance food for prisoners according to the government offer, in addition to organizing regular health initiatives, such as the management of deworming tablets and iron supplements, he added.
The collector also warned officials and local committees to maintain strict vigilance to prevent children from marriage. Child marriages are a dangerous practice in society.
