Former MP and All India Professionals Congress (AIPC) president Madhu Yaskhi Goud alleged that officials who played key roles during the BRS regime are introducing ministers in the Congress government, affecting its functioning and ability to communicate its achievements to the public.

He questioned how the administration could function effectively if officials were giving ministers incorrect information. Referring to the coal issues in Telangana, he felt that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy himself had to step in and conduct a review as the officials concerned had failed to resolve it.

Mr. Madhu Yaskhi said that though many people acknowledged that the Congress government was working well and that the Chief Minister was working effectively, the government had failed to publicize its achievements sufficiently. He warned against over-reliance on bureaucracy, saying it could harm the government.

Manmohan Singh Scholarships

Mr. Goud, who was newly appointed as the president of All India Professionals Congress (AIPC), said that they are planning to establish Dr. Manmohan Singh Fellowship, which would recruit and train 100 professionals for a year. Fellows would contribute to policy research, policy advocacy and public policy initiatives.

Outlining AIPC’s approach, he said it would operate on the principle of “defend, serve and design”. As part of this, the organization would provide free legal aid, focus on public service initiatives and produce evidence-based documents.
