
All arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth conduct of the Class 10 High School Certificate Public Examinations scheduled from March 16 to April 1 between 9:30 AM and 12:45 PM. Superintendent of Police Prakasam V. Harshavardhan Raju said that strict measures have been put in place to avoid any untoward incident during the examination.
He said tight security has been ensured while transporting the question papers to the examination centers and while moving the answer scripts, besides ensuring protection in the vaults where the papers are kept. Section 144 has been imposed at the examination centers and steps have been taken to ensure that no one roams the premises. Xerox centers located near the examination centers are closed during the examination period.
In another meeting, Prakasam Education Director CV Renuka said that all arrangements for conducting SSC exams have been completed. A total of 28,632 students are expected to appear in the district. Of these, 14,289 boys and 14,312 girls are in the regular category. In the private category, 21 boys and 10 girls take the exam.
It said that 1,144 regular and supplementary students from AP Open School Society, including 823 boys and 321 girls, will appear for the exams. 165 centers were allocated for the examination and 14 centers for the APOSS examination. The spot award will be held from April 4 to 13 at the DRRM Municipal High School in Ongole.
In SPSR Nellore district, SSC exams will be conducted in 176 centers. Superintendent of Police Ajitha Vejendla said necessary arrangements have been made in collaboration with other departments to ensure that the examinations are conducted smoothly in a peaceful atmosphere. Mobile patrol teams have been deployed and flying squads will monitor the situation around the clock.
Tirupati District Superintendent of Schools KVN Kumar said that 31,334 students from 655 schools will appear for the exams in the district. As many as 62 investigation zones and 165 centers have been set up to conduct the tests. A total of 179 Senior Wardens, 179 Ward Officers and 1435 Wardens will be on duty. CCTV cameras have been installed in eight sensitive investigation centres.
