Officials of the Mandya district administration conducted a joint site inspection at Malavalli along with local Chief Minister MLA Narendraswamy on Friday ahead of President Droupadi Murma’s visit to Malavalli in December 2025.
A statement issued here on Saturday said Deputy Commissioner Mandya Kumar and Mandya District Superintendent Mallikarjun Baldandi were part of the district administration team that conducted a joint inspection at the site.
The team visited and inspected the land in front of Shanti College on the Malavalli-Mysuru main road and discussed the construction of a stage or platform. Officials of the Public Works Department have been instructed to construct a well-equipped stage in coordination with the taluk-level officials.
Municipal officials have been instructed to ensure proper provision of drinking water and adequate parking at the venue of the programme.
Police officials have been directed to give top priority to security with appropriate protocols during the programme.
The team inspected the private lands and instructed the Public Works Department officials to identify a suitable site for a temporary helipad and submit a report.
Officials have been instructed to take all necessary precautions in view of the President’s visit, the statement added.
