The District Administration warned officers of the affected government departments to be prepared to face the flood situation, because two rivers – Krishna and Bhima – are fully flowing with an increased quantum of water for several days.
After the Krishna and Bhima River Basin received torrential rains, the tide to the Basavasagar reservoir in Narayanapur and Sannati Bridge Cum Barrage in Sannati has increased significantly, after which the Krishna Bhagya Jala authorities began to select the waters on the river.
According to sources, the Outflow River from Basavasagar Reservoir was 95 265 cuses on Friday, while the tide was 1 lakh Cusecs. The current water level in the tank was 490.70 m against 492.25 m. And the drain from Sannati’s fire to Bhima was 15,000 cusecs.
Deputy Commissioner B. Susheel, who recently organized an appointment, gave officers instructing the villagers on the banks of the river and preventing them from approaching rivers for any reason.
“Officers of income and rural development and Panchayat Raj should extend coordination to work efficiently at the village level and alert people to increasing water levels through WhatsApp and personal visits,” Mrs. Susheel said.
