The Minister of Finance KN Knagopal filed a complaint with the Chief of the State Police against the Facebook page for the publication of the allegedly slander content of the minister.
Mr. Balagopal said in the Facebook post that the site administrators published the introduction of the content related to its hospitalization in May 2025 and the medical law to the government hospitalization of the Faculty of Medicine, Thiruvananthapuram.
According to the site, the Minister required a huge amount for daily hospitalization. Mr. Balagopal said he was entitled to seek medical care in a private hospital where the bill would be much higher. Yet he was persecuted depending on the affordable public health care system, he said. Mr. Balagopal was hospitalized from 12 to 17 May.
