Urida Governor Kambhampati Haribabu asked the student community to take the responsibility of ensuring cultural integration between different cultures and states of India.
Addressing the 44th state convention of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) here on Sunday, Mr. Haribabu recalled his stint as Mizoram Governor when he facilitated a cultural exchange with students coming from the southern states.
“We can ensure national integrity only when relations with North Eastern states improve. ABVP Student Experience in Interstate Life (SEIL) Project has achieved impressive success on this front,” he said.
Mr. Haribabu also urged the youth wing to launch a tirade against the rampant drug menace in the country and create awareness among schoolmates about the impact of substance abuse not only on their own future but also on the country.
The ‘Janamanchi Gouriji Yuva Puraskar’ award was presented to Girish Nallagutta, founder of Madanapalle based voluntary organization ‘Wellwisher’. ABVP State President N. Srinivas read out the inspirational life of Gouriji.
